its just been hidden from me that these numbers were REMOTELY added. Then the Avast filter is working fine, but somehow a 'fake' sync/contact list (with no title) was added, and yes, some of those calls that shouldnt be a contact now are and get through just fine. along with why my phones own options lets a call ring through even though Iv EXPLICITLY set it to ALLOW CONTACTS only for incoming call/text? Now, if someone has gained unknown access to my phone to create the BLANK sync list would it not make sense that this is how they are getting past this particular filter/block. So something just dawned on me that connect two discussions I have started on this boarde. All others can goto voicemail again this is how it happened on my TracFone.

I want to resrict incoming calls to ONLY allow my contacts. Is there something I am missing and just didnt look in the right place, or is this not doable in the current version? This can be a very effective tool against phishers that call randomly to try and get one's banking information, passwords, ect.Īs it stands, Im having to go and create a new group rule for each number that 'side-steps' my phones basic security. Somehow (Im guessing the carrier didnt clear the settings for my number on their server) some calls come through as if it was not set up to begin with or as if they were in my contact list (which they are not).

On my newer not-so-smart phone, I can set this up in my settings menu SETTINGS-> CALL SETTINGS-> CALL RESTRICTIONS: set to "Allow Contacts". and I would love to be able to make it so ONLY those already saved in my contacts list can make my phone ring. It was a VERY usefull feature on my TracFone. I have recently expanded my Avast experience but am would like to know why this cant be done.
